[CARTOON] Iron Lung
Saturday, September 26, 2009 Past Expiry
"Inspired by those freaky images from the 1950s of large hospital wards filled with iron lung machines and the polio victims inside of them. Approximately 30 people in the US still use an iron lung. One patient spent 60 of her 71 years in one. I guess in that case you really would want detachable faceplates to liven things up."

[CARTOON] The New Yorker Caption Contest #208
Friday, September 18, 2009 Past Expiry
"The Holy Grail of every cartoonist is to be published in the magazine The New Yorker. A slightly easier way to get published there is through their weekly caption contest. The New Yorker won't let personal blogs post the cartoon for this week's contest because of copyright laws. The solution: draw their cartoon in my own style and add the caption I submitted. Wish me luck (again)."

[CARTOON] The New Yorker Caption Contest #206
Thursday, September 03, 2009 Past Expiry
"The Holy Grail of every cartoonist is to be published in the magazine The New Yorker. A slightly easier way to get published there is through their weekly caption contest. Unfortunately they are a little anal and won't let blogs post the cartoon because of copyright, and judging how long it took for them to just answer my simple question, getting permission would probably take months and or money. The solution: draw their cartoon in my own style and add the caption I submitted. Feel free to leave feedback on whether or not to make this a regular weekly feature (weather and life permitting). Personally I think my centaur is better."
