The U.S. Treasury accidentally printed a batch of $1 star notes
(with a “B” Federal Reserve seal) twice—once at its Washington,
D.C. facility and again at its Fort Worth, Texas facility—using the
same serial number range. As a result, two separate $1 bills now
exist with identical serial numbers, creating rare collectible
pairs. While each note is worth about $30 individually, a matched
pair from both locations can sell for $500 to $25,000, depending
on condition.

Project 2013B helps collectors find matching $1 star notes by
maintaining a serial number database. Each time a bill is
submitted, its serial number is checked against all past and future
entries. When a match is found, both owners are immediately
notified and can choose to auction the pair or arrange a private
sale between themselves. So far, over 50 pairs have been sold,
earning owners more than $175,000 in total.

The service is free! Learn more at www.2013b.com
